“There are too many hidden spots to enjoy up in the Blue Mountains,
many of which are fiercely guarded by local knowledge.”

Starting Point:
Black Cockatoo Bakery
165 Katoomba St,
Katoomba NSW 2780

Stroll into Black Cockatoo Bakery for a Stones Throw spro or filter (and try not to grab a snack at the same time – we dare you!)

Meet Xian (gun barista)

Adventure 1 – Sunset beer at Mountain Culture Beer Co

Adventure 2 – A vintage bargain at Old Flame

Adventure 3 – An awesome view at Boars Head or Cahill’s Lookout

Adventure 4 – The best kebab you’ve ever had at Cedar Takeaway

Adventure 5 – A street art wonder through Living Lanes

Adventure 1 – Best seat to take in the sunset would be on the Mountain Culture Beer Co deck, with a frothy in hand and maybe a burger in the other.

Adventure 2 – My personal favourite place to shop is Old Flame for curated vintage clothes, locally dyed pieces by @flora.folk and other locally sourced goods for the home. They happen to be in our old location just up the road too!

Adventure 3 – There are too many hidden spots to enjoy up in the Blue Mountains, many of which are fiercely guarded by local knowledge. Another good spot for a sunset is at Boars Head or Cahill’s Lookout, if you want something more unheard of you will need to pop in for a hot tip.

Adventure 4 – For potentially the best kebab you’ve ever had, and definitely the best falafel check out Cedar Takeaway at 129 Katoomba St, just look for the tiny sign.

Adventure 5 – Take a walk down to Beverly Place, where there is a street art walk then up Froma Lane, part of the new Living Lanes project, towards the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre. Keep your eyes peeled, there’s plenty of art in Katoomba.
