We’re getting smart again for ‘Cafesmart’, Friday June 7th, to raise money for homelessness in Surry Hills. This is a totally effective and rewarding event from Streetsmart that helps give back to the local community where it’s needed. Last year we clocked in as the NSW champions, raising $1191, which went towards the Womens and Girls Emergency Centre in Foveaux Street Surry Hills. We’re aiming to smash it even higher this year, giving a dollar from every coffee sold and hoping our customers match it. Plus we’ll throw in all tips. We’re throwing a few free kilos to all of our cafe clients participating in the event. We’re also holding Varietal Cuppings in our cafe loading bay at 10am & 12noon, $10 a head with 100% proceeds to Streetsmart, pay at the rolla-door on entry and the more the merrier.
Hope to see you for some extra smart service with your coffee on Friday. And if you can’t make it to Surry Hills but want to take part, here’s a list of participating cafes.
