Staying true to specialty coffee and committing to its ongoing viability means many things to us, including prioritising quality across our blends and origins, sourcing from a mix of ongoing relationships and supporting new talent, and continuing to support World Coffee Research.

Our mission here is to be part of the circular economy by investing to close the loop. Everywhere we look, there are ways to get more loopy in the coffee and café business! From packaging to grounds, from cups to machinery, here’s how we’re doing our bit to reduce waste and support circular.

We’re aiming to halve carbon emissions by 2026 and achieve Net Zero by 2030. Steps that are underway include 100% Greenpower at our roastworks including our own solar, transport initiatives including Stone’s Throw coffee project, and brewing innovations that help lower emissions.

We know that specialty coffee is as strong as the community that supports it. In turn we support communities by shouting them out, raising them up or otherwise getting involved. These span from origin, to our local neighbourhoods, from innovators to activists, and at the centre, our team, supplier and wholesale community.

With a spirited mix of coffee, curiosity, idealism and doggedness, Single O tries to innovate by finding a better way. In the Mother Earth realm, there’s so much to improve, we only wish our innovation science could match the passion and imagination for all things green.
