In the northern province of Kayanza, Nemba Washing Station participates in a number of farmer outreach and support products to strengthen their cooperatives, implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and improve yields for their farmers.

Most of these family farms only have 200-250 trees where the coffee is selectively handpicked during the harvest season. These coffee cherries are then left to ferment with Lalcafe Intenso yeast, a yeast specially developed for coffee production, for 36 hours for that cherry cola and raspberry taste.
