Chiriku Washing Station serves around 600 coffee farmers in the Sidamo region of Ethiopia. Due to the close proximity of the washing station to the farms, during the coffee harvest season, all focus is on picking ripe cherries to deliver small yields daily to ensure optimal ripeness. In the off season, these cherries grow alongside many other food staples as well as ornamental flowers. Talk about doing it all - just like this sweet and floral coffee.
