CAICEDONIA, COLOMBIA

Trujillo and Caicedonia sit in Valle del Cauca, on the western slopes of Colombia's Central and Western Andes.

The soils are volcanic ash-derived, with high organic matter content - naturally acidic and mineral-rich, ideal for flavour development in coffee. The combination of cloud cover at altitude, cool nights, volcanic terroir, and consistent humidity slows cherry maturation, allowing beans to develop denser sugars and more complex flavour compounds.

Colombia's dual rainy seasons also mean two harvest windows per year, making it one of the few origins that can supply fresh coffee nearly year-round.
