An impossible guide for brewing filter coffee. Impossible because it shouldn't be this easy.
Our Parachute coffee drip bags, aka "Chutes" for short, draw down in around 1 to 1.5 minutes with 1 to 1.2% total dissolved solubles (TDS). Overall result? Insanely good filter coffee that will have you scratching your head as to how it isn't V-60!
Added pros of these bad boys, they're commercially compostable, small enough to throw in your carry-on, back pack or handbag and tasty enough to keep a pack at home for the days you wanna keep it simple.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Parachutes
- A tall-ish cup or vessel (nothing too wide)
- A kettle for boiled water - just off the boil
And that’s it!
STEPS
STEP 1: Rip into your Chute's brown outer packaging.

STEP 2: Pull the two tabs marked "Open" away from each other to open the Parachute. (Smell that specialty grade, freshness retained with top tier nitro-flushing).

STEP 3: Pull out the handles on the side of the drip bag and place over your cup.

STEP 4: Boil your water until it's just off the boil.
STEP 5: Fill Parachute to the top with water & leave it to drain.
No stirring.
No rushing.
And yes, it'll drain surprisingly fast. That's intentional.

STEP 6: Repeat once more.
This will produce around 180ml of coffee.

If you’re brewing with Chute Blend, add a dash of milk (if that’s your thing).
A QUICK NOTE:
Parachutes are made from certified industrially compostable materials. Check with your local council if they accept compostable packaging in your home Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) bins. Otherwise; dispose of your Chute, bag, grinds and all, in your regular waste bin. Not suitable for home compost or recycling bins.
