We’ve got a new “special sign”. (The dictionary term for a logo. We’ll take it.)
Our new logo design nods to turning stuff on its head, which is a pastime at Single O because the status quo gets boring (especially to a restless, caffeinated bunch), and also a purpose at Single O as the status quo gets complacent.
The specialty movement turned coffee upside down, chasing flavour and rewarding for higher quality. We’re an example of a specialty ‘third wave’ roaster that sprouted from the cracks of an industry ripe for change.

And change continues at the rate of knots, with say, producers applying fresh vision for new processes. Or on the brewing end, innovations improving coffee quality. And in sustainability, new systems reducing coffee and café waste.
This is the part of coffee we love to be amongst, contributing where we can, to the messy pursuit of turning problems upside down and seeing if a solution shakes out.
We got a new logo that speaks to it. Cheers M35, for nailing a mark that captures the precision and coffee science we apply with our roasting and brewing, alongside a spirited, literal nod to turning coffee on its head.
We hope to see you soon at Surry Hills for coffee and a squiz at the new rad sign by Domus Vim object fabrication.
More coming soon...
