Serving about 650 family farms in the Yirgacheffe region, Ajere Mill is managed by Birhanmeskel Aberra. On average, each family has about two hectares of land for growing coffee as a cash crop as well as other food crops to eat.

The coffee that is brought to Ajere Mill is sun dried on raise drying beds for approximately 12-15 days, where they are raked constantly during the daytime to ensure an even drying process. The coffee is also covered from 12 - 3 PM as protection from the hot midday sun and at night to avoid rain and moisture. A labour of love, this one’s a showstopper!
